Sister company to the famous Jalan 222 Hokkien Mee, You N Mee spots the same menu and equally good taste. I have a peculiar relationship with Hokkien Mee in that I love the dish but almost every hokkien mee I've had left me feeling somewhat "muak" and "jelak". Except of course for Jalan 222's Hokkien Mee and the one in Damansara Uptown. So when I found out there's a branch here in Puchong. I didn't hesitate. The place is unlike 222. It's a intermediate shop lot and the space is divided into smoking vs non-smoking areas, the latter being air conditioned, making the sit-in experience a lot more better than that of 222. We ordered what we would usually order at 222: hokkien mee, pork soup, and fried chicken wings. The chicken wings were amazingly crispy. I might even say I like it here better than at 222. And the pork soup is just as good too. The meat isn't too slimy/starchy and the amount of white pepper is just nice. However when it comes to the hokkien mee itself, I was a tad bit disappointed. Like I said, I tend to get "jelak" very easily when it comes to hokkien mees and that happened here. Not much, but there was a sense that the noodles were too oily. My girlfriend however didn't mind it. So... 4 stars out of 5?
